Are there refunds on the Fest Tickets?
S.T.V. Maiglöckchen 23.Gaufest Steering Committee members will review requests for fest ticket refunds following the
Gaufest. Refunds may be granted based upon reason and timeliness of the request. Due to food and beverage
commitments with the hotel, no refunds will be given on fest tickets purchased after May 1, 2011.
What additional taxes and fees will be added to the $139.00 per night hotel room charge?
A 13.63% tax will be added to the hotel room rate.
What type of Hospitality Rooms are available at Shingle Creek?
There are so many variations available at Shingle Creek it is easier to tell us what you are looking for. A dance floor?

What is the charge going to be for parking?
The charge for self-parking at Shingle Creek is $5 per day in a guarded lot. The price at the Rosen Centre is
complimentary for self-parking. Valet parking cost more at both the Shingle Creek and the Rosen Centre.
Is the video form missing from the packet? Will there be any DVD's available of the event?
The only parts of the Gaufest required by the rules of the Gauverband to be on video is the Gruppenpreisplattln and
the Workshops. History of past Gaufeste show the videographer to be an expense, not a profit venture. In order to
cut expenses it may be necessary to hire a videographer for the required time frame of Gruppen and Workshops and
then dismiss them after their work is done. A video/disk of Gruppen may be available for sale after the event when a
price has been determined. The more groups that perform and the more workshops to attend, the longer the time the
videographer is needed, thus a greater loss on the video/disk. History has shown that not enough DVD's are sold to
pay for themselves.
We do believe that the montage disk of candid photos taken during the event will be a huge hit. They will be
professional quality photos at a very reasonable price. The photographer will have a wide variety of items for sale at
his table so you could have your favorite Gaufest photo put on a t-shirt, mug, cap, etc. Some of the requests may even
be done while you are at the fest so you can take all the items home with you.
What are the Hospitality Suite prices? How about the Executive Suites in the hotel?
At the Rosen Shingle Creek the following prices will be in effect for the Gaufest weekend:

Are there any discount theme park tickets available? (added 5/29/11)
We chose not to offer theme park discounts because there are so many parks to choose from and a wide variety of
ticket options available to visitors. In addition to that, some Gaufest guests are arriving a week prior to the Gaufest
and we would have no realistic way to get the tickets to them in time. We suggest going on line to the theme park of
your choice and pre-purchase tickets, which is usually the best deal. If you are members of AAA, you may want to see
what they offer.
Are there any German resturants or deli's near the hotel? (added 5/29/11)
There aren't any German deli's near the resturant, however there is a Publix Supermarket within and 1/8 mile. Their
deli carries many food options in the deli including Boars Head Meat. The closest resturant to Shingle Creek is the
Bauern- Stube (http://bauern-stube.com/) and about a 45 minute drive to Sanford is Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe
ranked number #5 best German Resturant in a nation wide internet survey. (http://www.willowtreecafe.com)
What if we are hungery at mid night or early in the morning? (added 6/18/11)
The Shingle Creek Hotel has a 24 hours ON SITE cafe/store to satisfy your stomach's needs! 18 Monroe
Street Market has many selections to choose from. Breakfast is served from 6:30am- 10:30am. The Deli
serves a variety of sandwiches, combos and wraps in addition to that, they can also meet your room party
needs with UNO'S Pizza and Hot Subs!! If you are looking for something a German flair, stop in and get a
Bratwurst and kraut, served with spicy mustard on a pretzel roll.
